Artist’s Statement:
I made this piece as a reflection of not only the obvious obstacles that medical students run into on their path to becoming physicians, but also a recognition of the many personal struggles we wrestle with that make things like classes and exams so much harder. Feelings of doubt and inadequacy, a feeling like we don't deserve to be where we are, and even feelings of inferiority compared to our fellow peers. These are the things that many struggle with and many are afraid to talk about, and I hope to see that changed over the coming years.
