Reverberating
by Joshua Ng
up before the dawn
empty roads and morning frost
my breath fogs the air
bright hospital glow
like a beacon in the dark
as I drive closer
alone with my thoughts
commute of meditation
the world is still asleep
parking lot of steel
my steps, so loud on concrete
reverberating
another one, now
each day echoing the last
I breathe, and step in
