A Breath of Fresh Air

by Radha Patel

Artist’s Statment:

When I was creating this piece, it was initially out of frustration. I was feeling overwhelmed and needed an outlet. Before starting the painting, I took a deep breath and thought that I would focus on nothing else just for a few hours other than this painting. Letting it be the only thing in my mind allows me to be present in the moment. Sometimes, you have to stop and smell the roses, and other times you have to stop and let the roses smell you.
