Our First Patients

by Brian Hibbard

There are no words to say,

No way to repay,

The Gift you've given

In such a selfless way.

What sites did you see?

What songs did you sing?

What jokes did you tell?

Where did you go?

What Love did you know?

Though strangers in life,

We have an indelible bond.

Because of your Gift,

You continue to live on.
