Anatomy of the Abdomen

Artist’s Statement:

When considering what I wanted to draw, I decided upon a view I see often. While on my surgery rotation, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity of a view within the abdomen. As a surgeon, you are one of the only people with the privilege of viewing and repairing these organs. I find this concept fascinating and wanted to capture the awe surgeons have while performing surgery. I hope to one day gain this privilege with a career in general surgery.
